Introducing Our New Educational Programs
Justice Now and Workplace Excellence and Belonging (WEB)
At YWCA Lancaster, we are on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. As part of our ongoing commitment to creating systemic change, we’re proud to announce the launch of two new justice education programs: Justice Now and Workplace Excellence and Belonging (WEB).
These programs are designed to equip individuals, community members, organizations, and businesses with the tools they need to deepen their understanding and co-create a Lancaster County where every person is seen, valued, and empowered.
Justice Now
Justice Now is a community-centered education series focused on identity, equity, and transformative justice. This cohort-based learning experience is ideal for individuals looking to better understand the systems of oppression that shape our lives—and how to dismantle them.
Through a series of interactive workshops and conversations, participants will explore topics such as:
The LGBTQ+ community & breaking the gender binary
Racial identity development and implicit biases
Defining common social justice terminology
Intersectionality, disability justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and gender equity
Strategies for racial healing and social change
Rooted in relationship-building and reflective practice, Justice Now is about more than just learning—it’s about transforming how we show up for equity in our communities and ourselves.
Workplace Excellence and Belonging (WEB)
Workplace Excellence and Belonging (WEB) offers customized training and support for businesses, nonprofits, and institutions striving to foster more inclusive, accountable workplace environments. Grounded in the belief that equity is an ongoing practice—not a destination—WEB empowers organizational leaders to take responsibility for creating cultures where everyone can thrive.
WEB workshops help teams:
Examine workplace culture through a racial and gender justice lens
Identify habits of harm
Understand implicit bias and its impact on workplace dynamics
Integrate social justice-focused values into leadership and decision-making
Develop action steps to move toward meaningful change
This program is an invitation to move beyond the DEI checkboxes and toward a deeper, more sustainable commitment to justice in the workplace.
Why These Programs Matter
YWCA Lancaster’s Center for Racial and Gender Equity offers programming designed to challenge harmful norms, inspire personal growth, and activate community-driven change. The launch of Justice Now and WEB reflects our belief that every person has a role to play in building an equitable future—and that change begins with education, empathy, and action.
Whether you're an individual ready to grow or an organization ready to lead, Justice Now and WEB provide a path forward.
